Lisa was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia on February 25, 2009. ALL is a debilitating aggressive cancer that attacks the blood cells and bone marrow. After hearing the news that no one wants to hear, she is searching within her soul to find the hope, courage and strength to begin the long fight against cancer.
Lisa will spend the next 4 to 6 weeks at the University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio undergoing chemotherapy first, then possibly a bone marrow transplant. This hospital is 65 miles away from her home.
Update: Lisa's initial stay at University Hospital was 34 days! During
her stay she completed the induction phase of treatment. Lisa continues chemotherapy as an outpatient. Visit the Grizbabes Team & Weekly Updates pages for more information on her treatment schedule.
Lisa is a loving wife of eleven years to her husband Mark and a mother of two small children, Grace and Jack.
Please keep Lisa and her family in your thoughts and prayers during the rigorous battle ahead of them.
